What We Do
For Teachers
Teacher Training
While we’re big advocates for external RSE facilitation, we do recognise that there are some instances where school staff will need to teach students about sex and relationships.
We offer teacher training that covers the following:
•
The statutory guidance on relationships & sex education (RSE)
•
How to answer difficult questions from students
•
LGBTQIA+ identities and best practice language while teaching
•
How to teach sex-positively
•
Inclusivity in sex education
•
Detaching from embarrassment or shame as a teacher
•
Workshop activities, games and discussion prompts that teachers can bring into the classroom
Pricing available upon request.
LGBTQIA+ Workshops
Teachers frequently report difficulty in “keeping up” with the ever-changing language and issues surrounding LGBTQIA+ identities. We want teachers to feel confident when engaging with their students around LGBTQIA+ issues, especially when working with students who are queer themselves.
In our LGBTQIA+ workshops, teachers will receive a breakdown of:
•
LGBTQIA+ identities
•
Trans-inclusive language
•
Queer discrimination in school
•
Disproportionate health and wellbeing problems for LGBTQIA+ youth
•
Intersectional queer identities
•
How to create a more inclusive school environment
Pricing available upon request.
